The Doctor is back with the next series . The first episode was on at 25th December 2006, with comedian Catherine Tate playing Donna the 'Runaway Bride.' The episode contained the weird Santa Claus robots and a new spider like creature called the Racnoss. The episode was successful, and the Doctors new sidekick will come in the next episode.

I loved the episode on Christmas day, Catherine Tate was so funny in it, i loved the twist between Donna and her husband, when her husband turned bad, i wasnt expecting that! I found the santas quite scary / freaky!

Of course I watched Doctor Who, I love it and David Tennant I thought it was amazing and I agree Catherine Tate was brilliant and I think she would make a good new assistant for the Doctor, but unfortunately she's not going to be the new assistant. I agree Flick those Santas are weird lol. All I can say is bring on Series 3 it looks fab!

The christmas special!! What can I say lol -- loved it. I can imagine Catherine Tate as the new assistant person, but it's going to be Freema Agyeman. Anyone know how long we have to wait until the new series? Hopefully not too long...

I guess it will be around April time. They had to keep redoing the scene where Donna said that she wasn't going to go with him because Catherine Tate said yes. Freema will take a while to get used to like David did. But now everyone loves him.

Yeah Dawn's right the 3rd series will start to air in the Spring, so I guess it's around April time. I really can't wait now.

Yeah. I thought that when Christopher Eccleston left but then got used to David so I'm keeping an open mind about Freema. I can't wait for the next series!

I think we should give Freema a chance because we haven't seen her properly act before we judge her. I do miss Billie though.

Yeah. I was massively against David when he first joined Doctor Who but he won me round. Give Freema a chance and hopefully she can do the same thing.

Yeah. It would have been nice but this is an interesting twist and I can't wait to see him trying to cope without her. Bad news for fans of Torchwood, the next series won't be shown until 2008!

What!? Torchwood isn't going to be shown until 2008! I can't wait that long. That's bad news. I'm so glad that Doctor Who is on our screens soon. I need David back!

I know, I shouted at the radio when John let that slip. I guess it's because he's busy. He has to film Doctor Who, and then this new series like the Maria one, then Torchwood and Panto again I'm guessing. Hopefully it will be very early 2008 because we might have to go storm the studios and demand the show otherwise. I can't wait to have Doctor Who back. My Sci-Fi gap is being filled with Primeval at the moment so it's not awful but I still want it back.
