But what would they class as 'too low' exactly? A BMI under 18. Underweight - 18,4 or lower Normal - 18,5-24,9 Overweight - 25-29,9 Extreme overweight - 40

But when they say 'under', would that mean someone with a BMI of 18.2 wouldn't be allowed to model? Sorry but I think that's just plain stupid - some people are naturally chubby and some people are naturally thin - banning a perfectly healthy person with a slightly lower BMI than what is considered 'normal' wouldn't solve anything. Like I said before if their aim is to prevent people from getting low self-esteem about themselves then the way to achieve that would be to show a range of different body types.

BMI's aren't very reliable anyway. I don't like them

^^^ Exactly I hate this whole, if you're considered underweight you must be anorexic. That's just dumb.

It's not just underweight though, it's EXTREMELY underweight. I'm sure they look into it properly if a person has a BMI that's extremely low. They wont just say "you have anorexia" and fire her, obviously they'll look into it.

Yeah that's reasonable. The way people talk about it they sound like anyone with a slightly low BMI must have an eating disorder and must be banned from the catwalk.

I think size 0 models are disgusting! They are killing themselves just so they can walk on a cat-walk. Its possible to be thin & healthy, also these models are influencing girls who want to be models too to be a size 0, which is very unresponsible.

i think if your naturally skinny and your eating healthily its ok, but if your not then it isnt Fine some people are naturally skinny. Naturtally skinny is like a size 2 or 4 but to suggest that naturally skinny is size 0 is ridiculous. Noone can possibly be naturally that size. If they were then there is something seriously wrong. I find it sickening watching women with their bones sticking out strutting along the catwalk like they own it. Especially if I happen to be eating at the time. I just want to feed them or something.

i heard that they are starting to make the clothes smaller because of the obesity that is in England today....but at the same time...they don't realise that making the clothes smaller is making the normal size girls feel conscious about themselves and want to lose weight because THEY feel fat....which isn't the case!!
