looking back i thought i dream was brilliant,
but now i relise it was the demise of sc8. i used to love getting its hot for all the photo storys then they changed it to i dream, and everything suddenly became i dream and the album was awful. i think sc8 should have carried on through out 2004 being....
Febuary-04. 4th and final single from sundown being "Love To The Limit"
April-04. Announce 12 date theatre tour to keep the fans intrested.
May-04. Fly to Barcelona film I'Dream..in between recording songs for 3rd album.
August-04.Announce new SC8 single released at the end of august.
Sept-04. Promote I'Dream with the other 5 but ovbiusly still standing alone as SC8.
Oct-04. Second single from 3rd album.. 3rd album following a week later
Nov-04- Welcome to avelon heights released as a single with all cast members instead of just Calvin And Frankie also same month the bbc wrap up I'Dream and its out of the way for december
Dec-04. SC8 are back as normal and release their tour dvd from the previous april just in time for the christmas market along with the brand new single from the 3rd album with the announcement of an arena tour in the spring of 05 then announce a split
hectec year yes.. but this sounds good to me and that way sc8 were speerate from idream

actually, i think SC8 could've lasted as long as girls aloud. but anyway, i agree. iDREAM was a funny show, but it did kill SC8 and the S Club franchise. everything S Club 7 built was crumbled.

You see so do i they had so much potential and so much backing from the previous s club fans.
they could have lasted until atleast late 07 if they were giving the chance tbh
but 19 ovbusly thought they were going no where

No, I don't think I Dream ruined it for them, it was a factor yes but, their age was a bigger one. They'd already been an older S Club and their novelty factor of being young kids had worn off. Fans of S Club didn't want them replaced, and if you noticed the sales of the singles dwindled when they became the only S Club franchise.
They could have been better managed but, the band had a shelf life and it also probably didn't help that the music industry shifted away from bubblegum pop and thus mixed dance bands around the same time. It's also hard to say whether the band members wanted to be as involved as previous with them all getting older, and wanting to chase different avenues of work.

s club 8 split but had already agreed to do iDream so they did that. s club 8 split cos they had all their GCSE's to do and they were getting older and they just didnt want to do it anymore. i know this because my brother's friend called josh knows lisa who is Aaron's sister. <33 x

I don't think I Dream helped though. I think it should have just been S Club 8's series, rather than sticking 5 other people in, I don't think many fans liked that. And yeah the album wasn't very good. I don't listen to it anymore, whereas I do all the other s club 8 songs I do. And dreaming definitely wasn't strong enough to be a single. It's a bit of a dull song to be honest.

maybe Don't Steal Our Sunshine would've made a good single. Yeah, Welcome to Avalon Heights would be the obvious one, but don't steal our sunshine is a better song, perhaps they could split the parts in the verses more, rather than just having frankie and calvin, maybe Daisy and Jay

well i love i dream but i see what you are saying maybe if they did a show similar to s club 7 it would have been a better idea, because they would really be taking on the s club legacy. it was a good show but i think it ended the band

Totally agreed. I Dream was cringeworthy.
