Kids will understand yes and no if you tell them enough Yes that's right, if you explain to them that their behaviour is wrong and you explain why it's wrong then that's got to be more effective than just giving them a slap on the hand everytime they do something wrong. It'll embarrass them sure but it's not like it will teach them anything if you don't at least explain what they did was wrong

no way! u shudnt hit children! id feel way 2 guilty afterwards. i work with children and the way we let the children know theyve done wrong is to get to there level and make eye contact, and explain what they have done is wrong and why its wrong, but i dont think u should ever result in hitting

Growing up being hit by my mom and our babysitter with a tire swatch (A small strip of tire that HURTs when you spank with -.-), I know for a fact that it actually makes the kids withdraw and not want to know the parents. If they're bad, ground them or take something away, don't hit them, that's how I feel after going through that, I feel adults should punish them in other ways, but never result in hitting...

In my opinion, there are much better ways of punishment than giving them a good smack. What good does that do? In my opinion that actually encourages children to continue whatever it is they're doing - my aunt smacks my cousin when he does something wrong but he never stops doing it - he just gives his mom a good smack back My mom never has hit me, I think I turned out okay.

I've read a magazing right after i came back home from the summer vacation, and it had a picture of a 5/6 year old boy that had really bad bruises around his eyes,it said that his teacher hit him (Maybe even punched him) on his eyes...His father was REALLY angry, and he took his son out of that school,im not sure if he put him into another school now,he doesnt trust the teachers i guess.I nearly cried! He looked so hurt poor kid!
