Ow. My braces have barely bothered me at all since I got them, but right now they've been scrating the left side of my mouth and it's killing me.

Aww I know how you feel hun, mine do that sometimes too, it can be a pain can't it? I always take some painkillers when they really start to hurt or if they're not hurting, just scratching, then I rub the wax the dentist gave me on my gums and that usually helps. Maybe you could try that?

Yeah they are aren't they? I change the color of my braces like every time I get them tightened which is every 6 to 8 weeks but I can't help it, I just can't stick to the same color for very long, I just have to change it! And Andrea, don't worry about it hun. Braces do hurt after you get them put in put after about two or three days, you won't even notice they're there, plus because they come in so many different colors nowadays they're even considered fashionable, I know some people who even wear fake braces occasionly But if you don't want people to see your braces, you can always get clear ones, but either way you'll be fine and just think about the results when they come off, you'll have straight Hollywood teeth

Why so sad? It's not that bad. Everyone makes a big deal out of them but really it's nothing! I've had mine for a year and a half now and it's like they aren't even there. Once you get used to them you're fine. They ache for a bit when you first get them but it's nothing some painkillers won't sort out If guys still feel bad about wearing braces, then just spare a thought for poor little Brooklyn over her . I've had to wear headgear that attaches to my braces and goes around my head, but luckily only at night time. I look ridiculous with it on but it keeps my friends amused when I sleep over at their house ;D

I got my top brace a couple of weeks ago ;D I was gutted when the day came, but to be honest they don't actually look that bad, even when I smile. And last time the dentist said I'd need them for 18 months, but this time he said just 6-8. ;D I'm so chuffed, I have something to look forward to now.

Braces = best thing ever.
Actually it hurst more to get them off then when you get them on. Cos if you think about it, that metal has bee ncemented to your teeth for well over a year, so it's going to be painful getting them off. Then they have to scrape all the cement off and grind the little bits off. I swear to God that was the worst experience of my life.
But its worth it! So in love with my teeth now, like you don't even undestand how much.
