how do you know the want media coverage? Maybe they do and maybe they don't.But if they want their chiild found they'll do the most responsible thing. of course. so lots of people on bebo are making bebo's for her. HOW DOES THAT HELP?

I think they are probably doing that so they can get the word out for everybody!! so just in case you've seen her, then that way you can notify Maddie's parents. But I think that they should do that all for of the kids who have also gone missing.

We can't go a day without hearing it in the news, it's everywhere. People already know about it.

A letter has been sent to a newspaper giving directions to her 'possible final resting place' Officials at the paper say it is in a similar style to one written about a missing child last year and that the other child was found buried in the spot the first letter said.

And the others that aren't getting any media coverage aren't important? Really right now I'm putting myself in the shoes of the parents whose children aren't getting any coverage at all. Can you even imagine the hell they must be going through? Yes I know Maddie's parents are going through hell too...but what are those other parents thinking? Probably something along the lines of "Doesn't my child matter?" how do you know the want media coverage? Um, hello their child is missing. They want to find them (at least the sane ones do), alerting media & having media coverage will alert people that someone is missing. Chances are they'll be found faster.

But I guess it's more of a show of concern or solidarity than anything. I wouldn't begrudge someone who wanted to show support through some way, even if it was physically useless. And besides, myspace and bebo or whatever are networking channels, maybe they're taking the chance that some internet surfer from Namibia connected to one of those networks has spotted the kid. You just have to hope sometimes. * Things like these make me angry. There is no way, no way at all anyone can justify the need to take children away from people who care for them. Especially in the manner like this child was taken. The number of sick (expletives) in this world is alarming.

Yeah a woman told a waitress at a restaurant that a little girl in the restaurant looked like Maddie and she didn't even think to call the police!? how stupid can you get? I do hope that Maddie is alright and gets found even if its not too likely anymore.... I mean shes been missing since May right? But you never know I guess. And she had to spend her birthday with whoever took her, thats so sad.

I joined two bebo bands, but i agree. It's to let everyone know about her disappearance and that she's only 4! She's so sweet, it's about 110 days or so since her disappearance. And I heard that she could be anywhere in Europe! Oh Gemma, that women had to be a little silly not to call the Police if they saw someone that looked like Maddie. Well i hope it does not go past Christmas, that would be terrible!

From what I remember about first hearing that, I'm positive that she did call the police but afterwards she went back and they were gone. A soft drink bottle that the little girl had been drinking from was taken in for testing though I think.
