Does anyone know how to make this kind of avatars? If yes could someone post the tutorial? :-\ I made that All you have to do is put 2 pictures on top of each other, place a straight line across the canvas using the selection tool(horizontal or vertical, doesn't matter) but it must be quite a bit longer than the canvas. Then rotate the line so it's diagonal and erase what needs to be erased from the picture on top so that the bottom on shows through. That probably doesnt explain much, but hopefully it'll help

Ok Mel No i haven't tried yet Karina please can you tell me how to make siggys using Photoshop 7.0, thanks lol I guess we're the only ones that have photoshop 7, seeing as no-one else has replied. sarahshady.com/blends/frames.htmon that site, go to extras then tutorials, there's tutorials on easy ways to blend Tutorial for how to make this set For this tutorial, you will need the layers palette open. To duplicate a layer, on the layers palette, just hover your mouse over all the small clickable buttons at the top of the palette until you find the duplicate one. To set a layer to a blend mode (soft light, screen etc.) go to layers, properties and there's a small drop down box in the properties box to change the blend mode. How the finishing result will look may be slightly different to mine, because I use photoshop, not PSP. The above information is for PSP users though. How the result will look will also vary for different pictures. Whether that looks good or bad though, is for you to experiment and find out 1. Make a simple blend with no effects on it. I would recommend using FNM video pics like I used for the first try. 2. Duplicate the blend layer twice. Set the first duplicate (middle one on layers palette) to multiply. Set the second duplicate (top one on layers palette) to screen. 3. Go to layers (along top of your screen)- merge- merge visible. 4. Now there will be just one layer. Duplicate it, desaturate the duplicate and set it to soft light. 5. paste this texture (credit to Scorpio of Idolforums for making it) and set it to lighten. 6. Duplicate the layer that is set to soft light 3 times. Drag all 3 duplicates to the top of the layers palette. Lower the opacity of the top one to 50. 7. Take this lighting stock texture, paste it as a new layer, set it to screen and then move it around until it's in a position that looks good. (Credit to teh indy for the texture) view image 8. Add text and a 1 pixel border and you're done is this the tutorial for PhotoShop 7.0? by the way, where can i download PhotoShop? some of you probably have seen this somewhere but here's my first ever siggy i made using paintshop pro.... comments please ....

Yeah, Im in love with your siggy and avatar Amy, but you already know that! ;D Ive been making a few siggys and avatars on PSP X and although the tutorials on here are for othe PSP's, they did help me find the basics out and then I went rom there (I had to get used to PSP X because its so different to the others) So thanks to Karina and everyone else who has posted tutorials - thanks for taking the time to type them up for us, its really nice of you to do that for us
